Harry Feguson, and others believed that road racing would bring competitors, tourists and investment to Northern Ireland. This is the story of some of the first motorsport events organised in Northern Ireland including the hill climbs at Ballybannon (Castlewellan), Craigantlet (Belfast), Croft (Holywood) Red Brae(Carrickfergus), the sand races on Magilligan Strand and the Ulster Motor Grand Prix at Clady, cancelled due to a fatal crash.
